About the Role
The Lead Family Caseworker provide child protective services case management and foster care support in the Maniilaq service area in collaboration with the Alaska Office of Children’s Services(OCS) and in accordance with the Indian Child Welfare Act. Reports directly to the Director of Tribal Assistance Programs. This a grant funded position, subject to annual review pending appropriate funding levels.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with the Maniilaq service area, its culture, people, and ability to speak Inupiaq desirable. Criminal history that shows no felonies or abuse of children of any kind. Must have four years work experience as a Family Caseworker or four years’ experience in a human services field. Must possess a current Alaska driver’s license and have a good enough driving history to be insured to drive Maniilaq vehicles.
